Lingyuan Iron & Steel commissions new blast furnace

On May 27, Lingyuan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. commenced production at its newly built 2,290 m3 blast furnace, part of the company's blast furnaces upgrade project. The new furnace passed an on-site inspection by experts organized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Liaoning Province. It meets the requirements of China's steel capacity replacement regulations and aligns with the approved replacement plan.
As part of the capacity swap, two 450 m3 blast furnaces have been dismantled, and one 1,000 m3 furnace has been decommissioned and will be fully removed by July 2025.
