On June 12, the 2025 Xinjiang Mining Rights Promotion Conference was held in Urumqi, where 162 mining rights projects were showcased for public offering.
The featured projects cover major mineral resources such as oil and gas, coal, copper, gold, and nickel. All blocks were carefully selected for their favorable geological conditions, strong exploration potential, and resource prospects.
Of the 162 projects, 23 are energy-related, including 13 oil and gas blocks and 10 coal projects; 135 are metallic mineral projects, including 47 for gold (and silver), 54 for copper (and nickel), 5 for lead-zinc, 26 for iron (including vanadium-titanium), 2 for manganese, and 1 for rare metals (rubidium); 4 are non-metallic mineral projects, including 2 for graphite, 1 for bentonite, and 1 for fluorite.
Xinjiang is rich in mineral resources and has significant development potential. To date, 154 types of minerals have been discovered, with confirmed reserves for 103 of them . The region is one of China's most resource-diverse provinces and serves as a key national strategic base for energy and resource security.
