Alnera Aluminium expands focus on NEV components projects

Alnera Aluminium Co., Ltd. recently announced the launch of three major projects in Chongqing to strengthen its core business in new energy vehicle (NEV) components.
The company will set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Yubei District to build a lightweight auto parts project, which will also serve as its future headquarters and R&D center. The facility will produce NEV components, 3C product parts, cooling system components, and parts for robotics, with an estimated investment of no less than RMB550 million (USD76.3 million) and a two-year construction period.
In Nanchuan District, another RMB500 million (USD69.36 million) will be invested in a project capable of producing 800,000 sets of high-strength lightweight NEV components annually. This includes EV battery pack housings and high-strength structural components for NEVs. As part of its strategic expansion, the company is also extending its core expertise in aluminum materials to include aluminum-magnesium alloys and titanium alloys, further diversifying its offerings in NEV lightweighting, aluminum car bodies, and robotic structural components.
In Qijiang District, Alnera Aluminium will build an aluminum alloy recycling project to produce 80,000 tonnes of high-end aluminum rods and 40,000 tonnes of extruded profiles annually. With an investment of RMB500 million (USD69.36 million) and a three-year timeline, the project will strengthen the company's upstream supply of high-end aluminum materials.
