US Revstone procuring two magnesium alloy die casting plants

The Revstone Industries LLC, a Michigan-based aluminum casting producer, bought a magnesium alloy die casting plant from Compass Automotive Group LLC recently. The plant is located in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Revstone did not reveal the purchase cost, but reported that the company has purchased another casting plant which is located in the industrial zone of San Lois Potosi, Mexico.
With five magnesium alloy die casting compressors, a hydraulic machine, a bridge crane, a spectrometer, and other die-casting equipment, Chihuahua-based plant will buy another three sets of die casting machines in the near future.
The San Lois Potosi-based casting plant will start operation this June. Eleven rolling die casting machine, welding machine and laser cutting machine is about to make their debut in production.
“As a strategy for expanding our business in Mexico, the purchase of these two plants also strengthened our position as a leader in the global die casting industry,” stated Robert Carney, CEO of Revstone.
Operated by Revstone’ s Cast Metals, Chihuahua die casting plant will run with the name of Revstone Chihuahua LLC.
As a part of Revstone SLP, the San Lois Potosi-based die casting plant will be operated by Revstone’ s Formed Metals.
