As the Spring Festival was coming, and many suppliers of antimony products wanted to get cash back before the holiday, so the antimony ingot market run at low prices of RMB69,500-72,000/t (USD11,014-11,410/t). After the New Year holiday, there were some deals in spot market and also some deals with the delivery after the Spring Festival holiday as some traders and users thought the price of antimony ingot had touched the bottom line. Therefore, the price of antimony ingot stopped decreasing and some suppliers raised their offers to RMB73,000-75,000/t (USD11,569-11,886/t) ex works gradually after the New Year holiday, but there were few deals at this price levels.
The price of antimony trioxide went down and down by RMB3,000/t (USD475/t) to RMB63,000-65,000/t (USD9,984-10,301/t) in mid-January as suppliers were eager to get cash back before the Chinese traditional Spring Festival which is the most import festival for all Chinese people, part of suppliers accepted RMB61,500-62,000/t (USD9,746-9,826/t) ex works for antimony trioxide 99.5%min, however, there were also some suppliers who thought it was impossible to finalize the deals at the last moment before the Spring Festival holiday raised the offer of antimony trioxide 99.5%min to RMB66,000-68,000/t (USD10,460-10,777/t) ex works with very few deals at this price level.
