BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Mar 12 – According to China Automobile Industry Association, Chinese motors production and sales in February both saw increases year-on-year and month-on-month.
The statistics shows that Chinese motors production was 1.61 million in February, up by 23 . 8% compared with that in January and 28 . 5% year-on-year.
Chinese motors sales in February was 1.57 million, up by 12 . 8% compared with that in January and 24 . 4% year-on-year.
Because Spring Festival was in February in 2011 while it was in January in 2012, it is not so effective to compare the motors production or sales of January and February.
However, in the first two months of 2012, Chinese motors production and sales both saw decreases year on year, which went down by 4.9% and 6% respectively.
Chinese motors market performed bad in 2011, mainly due to the tight government rules and the disappearance of favorable polices in motor industry. Participants also hold a conservative attitude towards the motor market this year, especially the first half year, but they mostly think the production and sales may continue to see steady increases in 2012.
