BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 12 – According to China Automobile Association, Chinese motor sales and production all saw increases in March year-on-year and month-on-month.
The data showed that Chinese motor production was about 1.88 million in March, up by almost 16 . 9% compared with that in February and 3 . 4% year-on-year . Chinese motor sales were 1 . 84 million in Marcy, up by 17 . 3% month-on-month and 1% year-on-year.
However, in the first quarter of 2012, Chinese motor production and sales were around 4.78 and 4 . 79 million, down by 1 . 8% and 3 . 4% year-on-year respectively.
Experts think that March is usually the boom season for motors industry, so it is reasonable for the production and sales to see obvious increase month-on-month. However, the production and sales in March 2011 were high-held, so they both saw slight decreases this year . From the point of Chinese motor market in the first quarter, analyst thinks it is more likely for the production and sales to continue to see an increase in 2012.
