The magnesium ingot market ran stable in early March. Concluded prices of magnesium ingot hold at RMB16,300-16,500/t (USD2,587-2,619/t) ex works and at RMB16,000-16,100/t (USD2,539-2,555/t) ex works in Shanxi and Shaanxi, both on ex works basis. However, most magnesium ingot traders in Shaanxi revealed to Asian Metal that they held low inventory of the material and some plants lifted offers to make more profits as the movement was inactive. Plants in Shanxi were not expected to increase the price and figures still ran at RMB16,400-16,500/t (USD2,603-2,619/t) ex works. In general, the price of magnesium ingot will hold steady, but the buying activity keeps low.
