The antimony market experienced sharp price decrease in June, the price of antimony ingot 99.65%min decreased from RMB76,000-78,500/t (USD11,950-12,343/t) ex works to RMB67,500-70,000/t (USD10,613-11,006/t) ex works in late June. The illegal business channel through China-Viet Nam border has closed since early February, and many small private enterprises accumulated large stocks and had great financial pressure. Stated-owned and listed companies also had sales pressure in the end of H1, so the price of antimony ingot declined by RMB8,500/t (USD1,336/t), the lowest price since 2011.
After one week of the antimony ingot price decrease, the antimony trioxide price went down. The price of antimony trioxide 99.5%min decreased from RMB68,000-70,000/t (USD10,692-11,006/t) ex works to RMB61,000-63,000/t (USD9,591-9,906/t) ex works in late June. Customers purchased from hand to mouth, and few deals were concluded in spot market.
