Chinese motors production up by 4.1% YOY in the first half year of 2012

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 13 Jul 12 – According to China Automobile Industry Association, Chinese motors production and sales were around 1.522 and 1.571 million in June, 2012, down by 3.1% and 2.3% month-on-month.
In the first half year of 2012, Chinese motors production and sales reached 9.53 and 9.60 million, up by 4.1% and 2.9% year-on-year respectively.
Influenced by the unfavorable macro economy situation, Chinese motors market performed weaker in early 2012. Both the production and sales saw decreases year-on-year in the first three months of 2012 and then the production in the first four months saw increases year-on-year for the first time.
After experiencing the rapid development of 2009 and 2010, Chinese motor market kept fluctuating at a high-hold level. Under complicated economy situation, the motors market lacks force to go up apparently in a short term.
