Chinese motors sales down by 12.6% MOM in July

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Jul 12 – According to China Automobile Industry Association, production and sales of Chinese motors both saw decreases month-on-month, but increases year-on-year.
According to the data, Chinese motors production and sales were about 1.44 and 1 . 38 million in July, down by 6 . 2% and 12 . 6% month-on-month respectively and increased by 10% and 8 . 2%.
In the first seven months of 2012, Chinese total motors production and sales were 10.97 and 10 . 98 million, up a bit by 4 . 8% and 3 . 6%.
In addition, motors stocks in plants in late July were about 0.74 million, up by 47,700 compared with those in late June.
It was traditional season in July for motors industry and many plants carried out equipment maintenance during this period of time, so the decrease month-on-month is reasonable.
Following more cities putting strict purchasing limitation in motors, participants’ worry about motors industry go up.
