Asian Metal visits some silicomanganese companies in Inner Mongolia

On August 8-10, Helen Guo, analyst of manganese alloys and ores of Asian Metal and Cruz Yu, project supervisor of marketing department visited Huade Country Tiancheng Ferroalloy Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Xinchuang Ferroalloy Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Smelting Plant of AML and Inner Mongolia Urat Front Banner Dawei Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., four producers of silicomanganese and ferromanganese in Inner Mongolia.
On the afternoon of August 8, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited Tiancheng Ferroalloy Co., Ltd.. The company only produces silicomanganese 65/17 and now has reduced the output to the lowest level of over 1,000tpm, which accounts for 20%-30% of the total capacity due to the sluggish market. Mr. Chang Baolai, the GM of the company stated that the current market is expected to be slow in the coming months with producers gainning marginal profits.
On the morning of August 9, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited In Inner Mongolia Xinchuang Ferroalloy Co., Ltd.. The company is just relocated to the new place with two furnaces of 25000kwa built for silicomanganese 65/17 production and workers are baking the furnaces for pilot production now. Mr. Song Tingchun, the GM of the company stated that the market keeps sluggish and he is worried about the sales and profits after operation.
On the morning of August 10, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited Inner Mongolia Smelting Plant of AML. Mr. Qian Zhe, the GM of the company introduced that the smelter is mainly producing silicomanganese 65/17 and medium carbon ferromanganese. Now the operation keeps normal but there are minimum profits to gain due to the sluggish market. Mr. Qian also disclosed to Helen Guo and Cruz Yu that they have a new project of manganese alloys in Malaysia which is under construction with the output capacity of 300,000tpy.
On the afternoon of August 10, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited Inner Mongolia Urat Front Banner Dawei Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.. Mr. Wu Jun, the GM of the company, introduced their business with silicomanganese production and rare earth processing and trading. Mr. Wu also stated a sluggish market for silicomanganese and plans to shut down two months later when the raw materials run out and will keep watching the market.
