Asian Metal visits some Jiangxi-based rare earth enterprises

During August 16 to 17, 2012, Manager of minor metals department from Asian Metal, Bruce Zhang and rare earth market analyst, Vivian Pang visited some Jiangxi-based rare earth producers, including Jiangxi Golden Century Advanced Materials Co.,Ltd, Ganxian Hongjin Rare Earth Co.,Ltd, Ganzhou Qiandong Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd and Ganzhou Chenguang Rare Earths New Material Co.,Ltd.

On the morning of August 16, Bruce Zhang and Vivian Pang visited Jiangxi Golden Century Advanced Materials Co.,Ltd. General Manager Yalong Jiang and Sales Minister Lehua Zhou received the visitors. Jiangxi Golden Century Advanced Materials Co., Ltd, known as the former Jiangxi Rare Earth Institute, was founded on the basis of rare earth institute and workshop of Nanchang Cemented Carbide Plant. The company is one of the earliest domestic institutes engaging in the study and production of rare earth. Mr. Jiang hopes Asian Metal can report rare earth market objectively further.

On afternoon, Asian Metal visited Ganxian Hongjin Rare Earth Co.,Ltd. Founded in April 2001, Ganxian Hongjin Rare Earth Co.,Ltd. is Located in Hongjin Industrial Zone of Ganxian County, Jiangxi Province.The company engages in manufacturing and marketing of rare earth oxides, rare earth coprecipitate oxide and rare earth ramification products and with a current 3500 tons/year separation capacity. It is now one of the biggest,most advanced rare earth separation companies in China with a full chain processing of high purity all rare earth oxides.

Asian Metal visited Ganzhou Qiandong Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd on the morning of August 17. Ganzhou Qiandong Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd (GQD) located in No.289, Qiandong road, Shuidong Town, Zhanggong District of Ganzhou City. The former is Ganzhou Qiandong Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd that was established at the beginning of 1988, and reformed to be a more regulated incorporated company. By now GQD is developing to be a group company that combines rare earth basic materials, functional materials, application products and rare earth processing equipments manufacture.

With registered capital of RMB 150 million and RMB 3 billion total assets, there are more than 2000 staffs that include 150 engineers and 120 administrative staffs. The group company owns 11 subsidiary companies and 1 proprietary company, they are Ganzhou Rare Earth New Metals Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Dongli Hi-tech Co., Ltd, Precision magnetic Ganzhou Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Southern Rare Earth Mining Co., Ltd, Mingda Functional Material Co., Ltd (Jiangxi Province), Changding Qiandong Rare earth Co., Ltd (Fujian Province), Ganzhou Recycle New Technology Co., Ltd, Ganxian Likai Rare Earth Resource Recycle Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Koin Structure Ceramics Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Lizhong Machinery Co., Ltd and Ganzhou KEM Tech Co., Ltd. Wenzhong Ou, Sales Minister, Jian Xiao and Yi Ouyang of the company of the company warmly received the visitors. Mr. Ou expressed that he has confidence towards rare earth long-term market and the competitiveness of Chinese rare earth markets in global markets.

Soon afterwards, Asian Metal visited Ganzhou Chenguang Rare Earths New Material Co.,Ltd and communicated with Qinghua Zhong, Deputy General Manager, Haihui Wei and Youling Xie, Sales Manager and assistant Manager of the company on the present situation of rare earth market. Ganzhou Chenguang Rare Earths New Material Co., Ltd. was established in November, 2003, its predecessor being Gannan Chenguang Rare Earth Metals Smeltery founded in 1997. The company specializes in the manufacturing of a series of products such as rare earth metals, mixed rare earth metals and rare earth alloys. Due to years of effective management and operation the company is currently operating at the annual capacity of 3800mt of rare earth metals and alloys of different specification. Products including La metal, Pr, Nd, Dy, Tb, PrNd alloy and DyFe alloy have been accredited as new high-tech products by Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
