On September 20-21, Helen Guo, analyst of manganese alloys and ores of Asian Metal and Cruz Yu, project supervisor of marketing department visited Henan Anyang Fengtian Metallurgy Co., Ltd., Tangyin Youchuang Metalware Co., Ltd. and Hebi Xinxin Ferroalloy Co., Ltd.
On the afternoon of September 20, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited Henan Anyang Fengtian Metallurgy Co., Ltd. and were received by Niu Haijun, the GM of this company. The company mainly trades silicomanganese 65/17 and runs Ningxia Jiaqilong Group Liantong Smelting Co., Ltd. which produces silicomanganese 65/17 in Ningxia. As the current market keeps sluggish and spot prices have dropped to a quite low level, the company can earn minimum profit and Mr. Niu expects that the market will move down further in the coming month.
On the morning of September 21, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited Tangyin Youchuang Metalware Co., Ltd. and were received by the GM Chen Erhong. The company, mainly producing silicomanganese 65/17, is only running one of the two furnaces at night. The company plans to build an office building, one blasting furnace of 50 cubic meter and two electric furnaces next year. As the current market remains sluggish, the company slows down the sales and still holds 10,000t of spot materials in stock.
On the afternoon of September 21, Helen Guo and Cruz Yu visited Hebi Xinxin Ferroalloy Co., Ltd.. Mr. Shi Junmin, the GM of the company introduced that the smelter has two furnaces and is producing silicomanganese 65/17 abnormally due to the soft market condition and high operation cost. There are few smelters in local area now and it is expected that the market will be hard to improve in the short term due to the weak demand.
