Asian Metal visits Baotou Steel Rare Earth International Trade Co., Ltd, Baotou Steel Rare Earth Magnetic Material Co., Ltd and Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth

During November 8 to 9, 2012, Manager of minor metals department, Bruce Zhang and rare earth market analyst, Vivian Pang from Asian Metal visited Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth International Trade Co., Ltd, Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Magnetic Material Co., Ltd and Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth.

On the afternoon of November 8, Bruce Zhang and Vivian Pang visited Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth International Trade Co., Ltd. Deputy General Manager Shaodong Huang and Manager of International Trading Department Jingxue Yu received the visitors warmly and exchanged opinions towards rare earth market trend with Bruce and Vivian. Mr Huang expressed that rare earth prices are likely to show upward tendencies in the near future as the majority of smelters and separation plants have ceased production, Chinese government enhances attack towards rare earth industry and global economy picks up a bit.

Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth International Trade Co., Ltd was set up on December 10, 2008 by eight stockholders including Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-Earth Hi-Tech Co., Ltd, Inner Mongolia Hi-tech Holding Co., Ltd and Baotou HUAMEI Rare Earth Products Co., Ltd etc. The company engages in providing rare earth oxides, compounds, metals, mischmetals and rare earth new materials. Asian Metal came to visited Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Magnetic Material Co., Ltd on the morning of November 9 and communicated with Manager of Procurement Department, Yuan Zhou about NdFeB magnets market. Mr Zhou expressed that prices of rare earth raw material are climbing and he hopes it can stimulate consumers to return to NdFeB magnets market and make purchases.

Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Magnetic Material Co., Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-earth (Group) Hi-Tech Co., Ltd, with registered capital of RMB176 million. Construction includes a production line of 15000-ton NdFeB strip cast alloy annually and a production line of 2000-ton NdFeB magnets annual.

In the afternoon, Asian Metal came to Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth and visited rare earth exhibition hall along with Professor Yongmei Guo. Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth was belonged to quondam Ministry of metallurgical industry and was set up in 1963. The institute was one of first important strypped-down scientific research institute and joined Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare Earth Group in 1992.
