Hunan Sunrising International Co., Ltd visits Asian Metal
On November 13th, Ms Elaine Yang, sales director, and Ms Sonia Lee, sales manager, from Hunan Sunrising International Co., Ltd. visited Asian Metal, and discussed the silicon and magnesium markets with Ms Susan Yin, associate analyst of silicon products, and Ms Daphne Zhang, associate analyst of silicon products, in Asian Metal. They also appreciated Asian Metal's information.
Elaine claimed that the overall silicon metal market is weak this year and the trading volume decreases. Recently, with the approaching of the dry season in South China, silicon metal smelters raised offers continuously and some smelters are even holding back from selling materials now. Moreover, RMB appreciated sharply against US dollars recently. Therefore, the silicon metal export offers went up a lot, but the transaction prices increased slowly.
Elaine exchanged her opinion on current magnesium ingot market with Daphne. Elaine noted that the market is very weak as most clients take a wait-and-see approach, hesitant to place orders. However, she considered the current sluggishness as darkest hour coming before dawn, believing the magnesium industry is promising. In addition, Elaine also asked some situations about magnesium ingot for the time being. She has strong interests in magnesium industry, and also wants to import some raw materials in the near future.
