Asian Metal visits Yunnan Titanium Association, Eryuan Hualong Titanium, Dengchuan Zhonghe Titanium, Lufeng Jintai, Zechang Titanium, Longteng Titanium and other titanium companies

On 24-28th June, 2013, Fairy Feng, analyst of titanium from Asian Metal visited Yunnan Titanium Assocaitaion, Yunnan Eryuan Hualong Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Dengchuan Chenhongguang Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Dengzhou Zhonghe Titanium Co., Ltd., Lufeng Jintai Welding Pipe Co., Ltd., Yunnan Zechang Titanium Co., Ltd, Yunan Longteng Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Copper Group Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Wuding Xinli Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Wuding Yongfeng Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Lufeng Yulong Titanium Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Xinli Madougou Mine.

On the afternoon of June 24, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Titanium Assocaitaion and welcomed by Pan Yang, the president of the association. Mr. Pan introduced that there are nearly 150 titanium companies in Yunnan province. The market of titanium is soft, so most titanium companies stopped production and he is pessimistic about the future market. Mr. Pan pays more attention to the 8nd World Minor Metal Summit 2013 which held by Asian Metal in Sanya Hainan and he plans to make presentation on the summit.

On the morning of June 25, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Eryuan Hualong Titanium Co., Ltd., and met with Luo Binghui, the general manager of the company. Mr. Luo expressed that the whole titanium market is in trouble this year and they stopped production this month with many inventories. Meanwhile, the company also paid more attention to the 8nd World Minor Metal Summit 2013 which held by Asian Metal and they plan to assist the summit.

Then, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Dengchuan Chenhongguang Titanium Co., Ltd., Yunnan Dengzhou Zhonghe Titanium Co., Ltd., Lufeng Jintai Welding Pipe Co., Ltd.. The three companies are the producers of titanium ilmenite, but only Yunnan Dengchuan Chenhongguang Titanium Co., Ltd., still operates and others stopped production due to low price and no profit.

On the morning of June 26, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Zechang Titanium Co., Ltd and met with Chu Lifeng, the assistant of the chairman of the company. Mr. Chu introduced their main business of the company, and they are the producer of rutile titanium dioxide and they operate with full capacity at present. They mainly export high grade rutile titanium dioxide and think the only development direction for them is to enhance the quality of the products as the whole market is very bad. Mr. Zheng appreciates Asian Metal and also pays more attention to the 8nd World Minor Metal Summit 2013 which held by Asian Metal and he will make presentation on the summit.

On the afternoon of June 26, Asian Metal visited Yunan Longteng Titanium Co., Ltd. and welcomed by Zhao Qiangzhong, vice-general manager of this company. Mr. Zhao introduced that they are the producer of anatase titanium ilmenite, with the output of 30,000tpy, and most products are sold to domestic producers of chemical fibre. Then he led the visitor to their plant.

On the morning of June 27, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Copper Group Titanium Co., Ltd., and met with Li Yansong, the general manager of market department, Meng Shaoxue, factory director of producing department and Tang Jiansheng, vice-factory director. They mainly produce high titanium slag, but they stopped production to improve technology due to low price and soft demand. Then he led the visitor to their plant. As for the 8nd World Minor Metal Summit 2013 held in Sanya Hainan, they will assist it.

On the afternoon of June 27, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Wuding Xinli Titanium Co., Ltd., and met Zou Jie, the chief engineer of the company. The company mainly produces high titanium slag with the capacity lower than 50% and most of the products are supplied to their branch plant which produces titanium dioxide and titanium sponge. As the whole market is very slow, they still have more than 15,000t of high titanium slag in warehouse. Then the visitor saw their mine called Madougou Mine in Wuding town which is one of the best mines in Yunnan.

On the morning of June 28, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Wuding Yongfeng Titanium Co., Ltd.. This company is one of the oldest producers of high titanium slag in Yunnan and their main products are high titanium slag and artificial rutile. They have 5 furnaces to produce and cover 200 Mu of areas.

Then, Asian Metal also met Wu Weijun, the general manager of supply department of Yunnan Lufeng Yulong Titanium Co., Ltd.. Mr. Wu introduced that they have two plans, one is in Lufeng town in Kunming city and the other is in Yangbi town in Dali city with the main products of high titanium slag and artificial rutile. The plant in Yangbi stopped production now and the plant in Lufeng only runs at night. Then he led the visitor to their plant. Mr. Wu pays more attention to the 8nd World Minor Metal Summit 2013 held in Sanya Hainan and the company will assist it.
