Asian Metal visits Tianjin Bohai, Tianjin Jinjingcheng and Huanghua Jinhua Additives

Victor Hu, Senior market analyst and Frank Chen, market analyst of Asian Metal visited Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Tianjin Jinjingcheng Trade Development Co., Ltd. and Huanghua Jinhua Additives Co., Ltd. during 12-13th December, and were welcomed by the three enterprises.

On the afternoon of 12th December, Asian Metal visited Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Miss Zhao Chang, the product manager introduced that the company is one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Tianjin Soda Plant, being in charge of the import and export business of the latter. The company restarted selenium trading in 2009, with a current sales volume of 3-5tpm. Miss Chang further expressed that demand from their regular customers, who are mainly engaged in glass production in North China and selenium dioxide production in South China, has kept steady so far this year.

On the morning of 13th December, Asian Metal visited Tianjin Jinjingcheng Trade Development Co., Ltd., and was welcomed by Mr. Wu Liu, the General Manager. Mr. Liu told that they are agency of Japanese leading selenium producers, with a trading volume of 5-7tpm, and are in long-term cooperation with Chinese domestic glass and ceramic plants. The company also deals with In, Ga, Co, Te, Mo and other metals besides Se.

On the afternoon of 13th December, Asian Metal visited Huanghua Jinhua Additives Co., Ltd., and talked about the current selenium and selenium dioxide market with Mr. Guangtao Li, the GM assistant. Mr. Li attributed the selenium price declines of Chinese selenium in 2013 to the oversupply and held cautious optimistic attitude towards market of 2014. As for the second World Selenium & Manganese Forum, which is to be held by Asian Metal during 23-25th Apr, 2014, Mr. Li said that the company will surely attend it, and he wishes the summit a great success.
