Asian Metal visits Changsha Zheyuan, Guofu Selenium, Zhonguo Non-ferrous, Zhongxin New Material and Hunan Shuangyang Materials Chemical

Frank Chen, selenium market analyst of Asian Metal visited Changsha Zheyuan Chemical Co., Ltd., Hunan Guofu Selenium Technology Co., Ltd., Changsha Zhonggui Non-ferrous Metal Co., Ltd., Xiangtan Zhongxin New Materials Co., Ltd. and Hunan Shuangyang Materials Chemical Co., Ltd. during March 13-14, and he was welcomed by the five enterprises.

On the morning of March 13, Asian Metal visited Changsha Zheyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. Mr. Liu Dongsheng, the purchasing manager disclosed that they are developing other minor metal business including Indium and Tellurium, as they do not think Chinese selenium prices can increase substantially in 2014. When it came to the recent hot topic of Fanya Metal Exchange’ stocking up selenium, Mr. Liu noted that they will consider the cooperation with the Exchange, but it's hard to say when they will cooperation in the near future.

On the afternoon of March 13, Asian Metal visited Hunan Guofu Selenium Technology Co., Ltd., and talked with Mr. Liu Binguan, the general manager and Miss Ouyang Xiaoling, the business manager, about selenium market conditions. Mr. Liu remarked that selenium dioxide market has greater influence on selenium powder prices so far this year compared with the previous year. The company will firstly reinforce production and operation of selenium dioxide, and maintain good cooperation with leading selenium powder suppliers.

On the morning of March 14, Asian Metal visited Changsha Zhonggui Non-ferrous Metal Co., Ltd., and interviewed Miss Wu Meixi, the general manager. Miss Wu believed that Fanya’s stepping into selenium market will change the trading pattern and help in expanding application of selenium, as well as strengthening its storage function. In addition, Miss Wu noted that selenium’ application in hull cell will draw more attention with enhancement of environmental awareness in China.

On the afternoon of March 14, Asian Metal visited Xiangtan Zhongxin New Materials Co., Ltd. and Hunan Shuangyang Materials Chemical Co., Ltd. In Zhongxin New Materials, Mr. Kang Nong, the general manager and Miss Yu Xiaoqin, the marketing director introduced the company’s development to Frank Chen, and expressed that they hope to strengthen communication with Asian Metal to learn the timely market information about selenium and selenium dioxide. In Shuangyang Materials, Mr. Yang Haoqing, the president and Mr. Wang Wenjie, the marketing director shared views with Asian Metal on demand for selenium dioxide from Chinese manganese flake producers. Mr. Yang pointed out that many manganese plants are confronted with great financial pressure now, so they devoted themselves to maintaining and developing superior downstream user resources. Both the two companies will attend the 2nd Word Selenium & Manganese Forum, which is going to be held by Asian Metal during April 23-25.
